For the last year or 2, I’ve been repairing electronics with parts from companies that give free samples of their products. I’ve used Tyco Electronics and Molex for most of my recent needs, but many other companies supply samples. I’ve compiled a list from various internet sources which can be found here.

I've been doing contract jobs and surveys online since 2004. While most don't pay well, These are great ways to make a bit of extra cash in your spare time when you have nothing better to do.
I'll start off with how I got into working online;
Starting in August 2004, I had just turned 18 and I didn't have a job, so I had a lot of time on my hands. I decided that I'd start researching ways to make some extra money online. I figured that I had a computer and an Internet connection, So I may as well figure out a way to use it for something other than just surfing the Internet.
I came across survey companies that pay you a minimal amount of money for your opinion on various topics. I started doing surveys in December 2004 and have been doing them off and on since. The survey companies that I currently work for include SurveySavvy, GreenfieldOnline, MySurvey, GoZingSurveys, and Surveys. There's also various ptc (paid to click) sites. I use NeoBux as it is by far the best ptc site out there.
Around 2005 I learned about article writing. I wrote a few articles and decided that it wasn't for me.
Since then I've come across a few sites where you work for a company as an Independent Contractor. I started with ChaCha, a text answering service, in mid 2008. I just answer questions as they come in and get paid between $.10 and $.20 per question. I made $500 extra cash last year, and almost $300 this year so far.
I then started researching for other companies that do similar things and came across kgb_ last month. I signed up and after completing all of the tests and simulation, became a full special agent in about a week and a half. I do the same things for them as I do for ChaCha. They pay $.10 per question. I've made a little over $40 so far in a couple weeks working an hour or 2 here and there.
10 to 20 cents per question doesn't seem like much but it adds up quick, especially if you can handle the questions fast. I try to shoot for a minute per question, but sometimes the questions are tough.
I then found Amazon Mechanical Turk around the same time as kgb_. Here, I do small tasks for businesses that may not have the means or resources to do them. I've made $14 so far with this over this last 2 weeks working a few minutes here and there.
So in closing, If you are interested in making some extra money without having to deal with all the hassles of weeding out all the scam type stuff on the web, Try a few of these recommendations. Your not going to get rich off this kind of stuff but it helps, especially considering the current Unemployment rates across the United States.
